Deceased was born in Frederick City, Md., Ip 1815. At the âge of 36 he moved to California, and in 1862 be came to Florence, Idaho, and operated the old Shearer ferry on Salmon river, below Florence. From there he moved to Camas prairie, thence to Newsome where he passed the last declining years of his life with his daugh ter, Mrs. Shissler. Besides Mrs. Shissler, deceased leave* another daughter, Mrs. S. E.
