Miss Hattie Rogers left Satur day for Elgin where she has a position as teacher in the public school. Master Jaek Greenhaw left Sun day night for Little Rock where he will make his home with his brother. George Gilbreath has sold his home place in East Newark to C. M. Miss Willie Roe left Sunday for Dunnington where she will teach the winter term of the public school at the Hulsey school house. Presiding Elder A. F. Skinner of Batesville spent Sunday night and Monday in town and held the first quarterly conference at the Meth odist church. Mrs. Dora Woomack and child ren and her sister, Miss Amanda Allen, of Carthage,Ark.,are spend ing a few days visiting relatives here and at Magness. Mrs. Ada Chamberlain and child ren and Mrs. Clarence Fields and little son, R. (}., returned home Tuesday from Avery, Mo., where they spent the holidays with rel atives. Miss Nettie Morgan who is at tending college at Arcadia, Mo., after having spent the holidays here with relatives, left Monday night for Earle, where she will visit her sister, Miss Virginia Mor gan, before returning to college. VV. 1). Baker of Charlotte spent Tuesday night in town en route home from Booneville where he has been under treatment at the State Tuberculosis Sanitorium. His many friends are sorry to learn that he was not benefitted by the treatment. Prof. 0. T. Richardson, after having spent the holidays here and with relatives in Izard county, has returned to Damascus to re sume his work as principal of the Damascus High School, one of the best schools in Faulkner county.
