McCain as Deputy State Auditor and Insurance Commissioner, ef a cj 1 AnHitnr (1 nfTm'A had no intimation of his inten tion until the resignation was handed him. But this was not the greatest surprise, which followed when Mr. McCain announced that he is a candidate for State Auditor and Insurance Commissioner to succeed John M. Oathout, de ceased.
