Hilton died Sunday and was laid to rest in the Hilton cemetery ' Monday morning. Many citizens of this vicinity, have become patrons of the rural telephone line. The boxes have arrived and the youngsters are en joy ing the first talks. We hope this will stir up Board Camp. Children's Bay will be observed at the Methodist church the fourth Sunday in June. The different Sunday schools of this place are arranging to hold a .joint Children's Day service the first Sunday in July.' A nice pro gram is being arranged. The many friends and relatives of Mrs. James Witherspoon are clad to know that she is improving rapidly in Texarkana, where she went to undergo an operation for an abcess on her lungs. There was an exciting runaway in town Tuesday morning. Miss Mamie Edwards of Hatton was thrown out of her wagon and the team she was driving ran away. While Allen Tilley was handling some pop bottles last Monday one of them exploded with a loud re port. Allen promptly threw a hack hand-spring, and wlien he took an inventory of himself he found that he had three or four fingers badly cut and that he had taken a bottle of “coke” by absorption.
