THE COURT TERM WILL ENDSOON GRANO JURY WILL PROBABLY MAKE IT® FINAL REPORT LATE THIS AFTERNOON. - .. : l»T*r' This Week and Next End* the Regu lar Jury Service of the Third and Laet Panel of Petit Jury, The spring term of circuit court is about to mark its close, Saturday, June 17, marks the close of the reg ular work of the third and last panel of the petit jury, and after that is finished there will probably Be n« more jury trials. Circuit Judge Cotham may have some law matters lor consideration after the jury is discharge!, but not sufficient to keep the court in session long. The graud jury will probably com plete its work and make the final report iate this afternoon. Tae present court term in circuit court has been one of the most no table in the history of the county in so far as the members of the bar and the court attendants, at least, are concerned. Judge Cotham went into the judicial service new with the first day of court, took up the work in a businesslike manner, and so credi tably handle!; all cases before him that he finishes the term with prac tically the solid endorsement of the people of Hot Springs behind him. Some of the most important cases that have ever been scheduled on the criminal docket have come un der his supervision at this court term, and while the results have been dig appointing to many, yet never have cases been given a more keen Judi cial balance, nor have ever the state cases been so strenuously prose cutod as by Attorney J. B. Woo l. The court term adjourns of itself practically on dune 17, because there are but three regular jury panels drawn by the commissioners, and each are expected to serve for four weeks. The former two have been drawn an dhave served, and the third and last panel began its work on May 22 which makes this the third week t qi Ub service. Circuit court opens in Montgomery county early in August, but this ses sion does not require much time. The next term of circuit court here opens in September. PRESTON RESTORED.
