Prom the first act on. the bill at the Princess theater the last half of the coining week is a whirlwind. The supreme headliner of this all star bill is 11011a other than Vilmos Westony, the greatest European piau ist who lias ever been seen in Amer ica. While the technique and tiuesse in a n I tested throughout his delivery give proof of his wonderful ability as a talented pianist, the touch of rag time which he introduces appeases the taste of the general public for that farm of entertainment. In the performance of Dunn and Hughes will be found so many dis tinctly different forms of entertain ment that it Is difficult to say which part of their act is their specialty, interspersed are sweet, melodious singing, rare witticisms, and comedy imitations, whistling and whistling ob ligatos. A sensation in the club juggling art will be introduced by Lynch and Zeller, two clever jivggierg unparal leiled in their line. With snap, vigor and ginger they do their stunts in a rapid-fire, cocksure manner whion only the perfect artist can assume. Tlic act. while comprising many dlf f leu it turns, is a neat one and pleas ing in general aspect. May Archer and Billy Carr, In their particular line of entertainment are vaudeville stars of first rank. Their offering will lie a conglomeration of ragtime songs and comedy, and is as lively and entertaining as anything that has occupied the Princess stage in many days. Miss Mabel Sherman is a dainty mass of beauty, Latent, and wit. Her beauty fairly oozes oui beauty of form and l»ce. beauty of expression and feminity, showing her finer sensi bilitiea and gentleness; beauty of ex pression in her art, which every dain ty warble brings forth; and her smile and tiny bits of witticism interwoven at just the right time to produce upon her auditors the lasting inmpression of, above all else, her delicious refine ment and good breeding. WHITTINGTON PARK. There is class in the very announce ment of the vaudeville show that will hold forth the last half of tlie week in the cool and inviting theater at Whittington park, and there is some class, too, in everything that the re spective acts do. Manager Harrj Hale announces the initial appearance in this city of Mayne and Mayne. a song and dance and talking act that has been a sen sation over the Lyric circuit. There have been others who have sung and danced their way into popular favor, but after one sees this team one real izes that the others have stopped right where Mayne and Mayne begin. Edythe Hose will receive a hearty "welcome to our city.” Edyth has been pleasantly referred to as "vau deville’s fairest and most' talented flower." an I if all that the managers sav of her is true, this must he so. She has three important requisites, beauty, a perfect form and talent for singing and dancing. In connection wllh the Lyric show there will also ae three reels of first run pictures never before seen In this city, in ducing tlie famous Pathe weekly, that moving pictorial novelty that brings the world at one’s feet. There is another amusement that is meeting with much favor at Whit tington park, and that is the dancing, which is held every evening. This, together with the many varied entei prises, each one of which makes for the entertainment and comfort of its patrons, has increased the popularity of this summer inecea. AT THE AIRDOME. “Because He Loved Her So," one of the merriest and most human interest comedy dramas that was ever staged was played by the Taylor stock com pany al the Airdome last evening to a large and appreciative audience. 'In the audience were many members of llie Arkansas Medical association and their ladles, as well as delegates to the Btate pharmaceutical conven tion who, notwithstanding there were attractions in which they were inter ested, availed themselves of the op. portunity to see this play, and none regretted It. Mr. Taylor has become a great favorite throughout the state and the visitors last night gave he and his company a great welcome. Tonight he oflers the greatest suc cess. Walker Whiteside ever produced, “We Were King,” and the drama is a costume piece of great strength, the situations being most dramatic. It Is stage! with special scenery and the company considers it one of their strongest plays.
