Weld County Magazine Soon to Make Appearance The Weld County Commercial club held an important and highly product ive aeaaion at Keraey on the club’s first out-of-town meeting for 1919. The proposal to issue a magazine in the interest ot the county at monthly intervals which had been recommended at the April meeting was taken up and discussed in detail, resulting in the meeting accepting the report of the publicity committee and instructing the proper officers to (,-nter into contract as proposed for the publication of the magazine during the remaining months of 1919. Briefly stated the proposition is this: The publicity committee of tho club, after careful consideration of means of presenting Weld county 4 * advantages most effectively to the public, both at home and abroad, came to the conclu sion that to publish a monthly magazine, circulated locally at a small subscription rate, and in outside localities to persons known to be open to consideration of new locations would be a far better way to spend the advertising appropria tion of the county than thru tho issu ance of a single booklet each year, as. it would have the advantage of keep ing constantly before the persons it is desired to reach fresh matter relative to all districts of the county presented in authoritative manner, and by reason of its wide circulation would be an ideal advertising medium for many classes of manufacturers, managers of pleasure resorts, real estate dealers and others. It is the opinion of those who have had much experience in the sale of such ad vertising that the space sold will prac tically pay for the publication of the magazine from the start, and after a time yield some profit to the club which would be available for use in other phases of its work*, leaving the annual. advertising levy available for emergen-' fy- The magazine will be sold in Weld county at 25 cents per year in advance. It will be mailed to all persons inquiring from real estate dealers or the state board of immigration or other agencies regarding locations applicable to Weld county, whether farm, mercantile or professional. Express shipments will be sent to eastern localities from which people are removing and from which they might reasonably be expected to come to this county if conditions suited them. Commercial bodies within the county will be furnished with a limited number of each issue for such special circulation as they may deem most like-' ly to produce results. The Pierce club extended an invita tion to the club to meet at that place in June and it was ucceptcd. The mem-' bership thruout the county should ar range to attend this meeting, as the Pierce country is well worth seeing.
