Reported that Mr. Reiser will build a residence in south Spring! field. Stewart’s well is down some thing over two-hundred feet. Blaine Vivian Johnston spent Mon day night at the Knox ranch. N. B. Curtis sold the A. C. Curtis horses and‘mules to B. Scarborough of Springfield. John Myers and family have returned to their home at Salida. Ed Myers returned to West clifFe, Colorado last week. Walter Powell has moved onto the Myers ranch. Vivian Johnston purchased a team of mules of B. Scarborough. Geo. Lucas [sold some of his cattle to Felix Mundell. Mr. Ewing and son Fred were at the Knox ranch after a horse the 25th. Mr. Babb has returned from Okla. Campo. Mr. Lee who comes from Tex as has returned from his trip to Lamar, purchasing building ma terial while there and with his family will move on to the claim which he has contested. It takes men ‘of energy and ambition to develop a new count ry and unless we are woefully deceived Mr. Lee will be of bene fit to our community. A hearty welcome is extended himself and family.
