County Commissioners' Proceedings Meeting of the Board ofj County Commissioners held at l Springfield May 11th and 12th, A. D.. 1914. Tlie board of county commis sioners met in the office of ihe county clerk, at Springfield, May 11th, 1914, as per adjourn ment of April 9th, 1914. Present, Jesse F. Harrison chairman, J. W, Hazel and T.E. Barr commis sioners and David Konkel coun y clerk. The petition for a road begin i'ng two miles north of Stonington and running four miles south was rejected. The petition of R. O. Nance for a refund of taxes on nw quarter ot section 17, Twp. 32, Range 42, for the years of 1909, 1910, 1911 and 1912 was granted and referred to the Colorado Tax Commission for their approval. The treasurer was ordered to strike the above land from the tax roll, the patent having been cancelled. I The board viewed the Spring- 1 field and Lamar road and decided that some of the creek crossings would have to be worked. A Baker for five! dollars to support his family while he was lying in jail. The board created a new vot ing precinct, numbered 10, and ■ the boundaries are as follows: Beginning a! the N. E. corner of I 1 Sec. 1, Twp. 311, range 44, I hence j south on ninge line between 43| and 44 to the south line of conn-, ty; thence west 18 miles to range line between tanges 46 and 47:, thence north on range line toj the N. W. corner of section 6; I: thence east on Twp. line between ( 32 and 33 to place of begining. l Voting place to be at school house which is to bo built near section 10 township 34, range 45. \ The voting place of precinct * No. 9 was changed from the Welcome school house 1 to the Butcher school house, 1 and the voting place of Precir.ct No. 7 was changed from i Begnier to a place near Sec. 11, < township 34, range 48. The bid of E. O. Measel for I, putting a roof on the jail wns|| rejected. The petition for a road begin- ( ing at the southwest corner of ( sec- 29, township 30, range 46, and running due south nearly . nineteen miles was laid over. The following claims were allowed: G. H. Mary and her lamb found Sayers away out in the cane brakes of Stonington and trot ted in with him Tuesday. He brought the bacon along and will be on the first floor with the happy Herald family for the year to come, Thanas areextended. Roy Bourquim rold his troub les to commissioner Speclcman, and thought the land would be about an even exchange for said troubles. L.
