Carl Smart, a brother of A. L.
north of town, was In from his
cedars ranch on the 15th.
The Democrat office Saturday
last was taken up from its moor
ings and deposited on a lot north
of the blacksmith shop.
A. M. Davis of Clyde thinks
the 52 doses has done his whole <
family good, so orders 52 more
doses for the coming year.
E. Schmolke, Claud Dean,
R. O. Watson and Jno. Bulah
brought in the 600 Harrison &
Drum cattle from New Mexico
last Friday.

Kans., was in Springfield Mon
day, and informs us that Santa
F- officials were recently called
to Topeka to consult on the ex
tension of the road from Santen
ta westward; and we give the
item to our readers for what it ia
worth.
Dr. X. D. Garragues, ot Brook
▼ille, Ind., a brother of J. K.
Garragues of Greeley, Colo., one
of our state supreme judges, is
here to locate. The family has
lived in the city, but wants to get
out in the country, and thinks
this new west will be just the
place. We will be glad to wel
come them to Baca county.
