R., at Arapahoe* was in Cheyenne Wells Saturday even ing. Wm. Haney and Chas. Russel of Arapahoe, were in town the latter part of last week on busi uess. The case in the District Court against W. H. Fay was dismiss ed, and the costs assessed to W. H. Fay. The Lewis and Workman Lar ceny case of live stock, stealing was carried over to the next term of court. A. E. Smith went down to his homestead in the northeast part of the County the first of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Youtsey. of Cole Colorado, were transacting busi nesssin Cheyenne Wells the lat ter part of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher of Bur lington, were over night visitors with Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Thero, last Thursday evening. Geo. Ambrosier of the north east part of the county, went to Hill City, Kansas, last Friday re turning Monday with his wife. Wilson leaves to day for Colorado Springs where he will visit with his wife for a short time. He intendeds to drive through with a team and wag on. Through the kindness of I. J. Booth are in Colorado Springs this week where the Doctor is attending the Medical Association and Mrs. Booth is visiting among friends. They expect to be gone about one week. The Show people who were here this week speak very highly of the way Mrs. Velie conducts the Commercial Hotel. They said she set a good *able and gave them good comfortable beds in which to sleep. Wilson, of this place had his team of horses shod this week. Jerve Tinsley did the work and he said this was the first time he has sharp-shod a team since he has been in this country and he has been here a number of years. Through the kindness of H. H. Seldomridge, we acknowledge the receipt of the 1912 agricultur al year book. It is full of inter esting reading for the farmer and they should write for one. There are many things in this book that would be of value to the farmer. Nate Miller, of Kit Carson, and Miss Lizzie King, of Seat tle, Washington, were united in marriage at Cheyenne Wells on Monday Oct. G, 1913. Judge Spen cer officiating. The record joins in wishing-them much hap piness and a pleasant journey through life. Judge Little of Colorado Springs, is the Judge during this term of the District court. This is his first time of sitting on the bench in this county, so far as we can learn he is making many fneuds here, by his kind and careful methods of handling the cases that come before him.
