Leader ship, Rev. G. W. Dudley of Kit Carson. Meetings every evening this week, except Saturday, at 7:30. The Sunday worship at the usual hour. You are cordially invited. D. M. Scott. Pastor On Sunday last, a party of friends autord down from Cheyenne Wells, to the Ross ranch to see their Uncle. It was the jolliest bunch, I have seen for a long time. I was practially prepared to receive them know ing the fondness they have for chicken. I made a special levy on my chickenhouse, but it won't withstand many more like this, I have sometimes read of the tables fairly groaning un 'er the weight of the victuals, but this crowd groaned loud and long while the table was being un loaded. They returned to Chey enne Wells early in the afternoon and all expressed their sorrow at having to leave so early. 1 tell you I was not at all sorry, to see them leave, or I would have had to go hungry for several days myself for if there is anyone that likes three good square meals a day it is your Uncle Joe. It’s all right folks, come again A WORD TO THE WISE The Cheyenne News stated in it’s last issue that Walter L. Bales who formerly worked on the Eastern Colorado Times was here trying to form a stock company to purchase the Recoup. For the information of o’ur es teemed contemporary, and the friends of the Record and others, the editor of the Recoup wishes to state that this paper cannot bssold by Mr. B ilea or anyone else during the life of ottr lease, which does not terminate untill July 15. 1914. repqrts to the contrary notwithstanding. The editor of the News would do well to get their News matter corrected before making tiny statements regarding the Record We do not own the plant con sequently do not have anything to sell only the buisness which we have built up since we leased the plant, as every one knows the Eastern Colorado Times was on the decline and in consequence had no buisness when we leased it we have worked hard and diligently to build up a good business for ourselves, and by the help of our friends, we are suc ceeding, and it is NOT FOR SALE.
