J. A. Gunther, of the Valore Hardware, has purchased the McGinty property in the west pait of town. Mr7 and Mrs. Me Ginty will move to Denver. Emery Petty, of the Arapahoe, country, was a pleasant visitor at this office Tuesday. We are pleased to see Emery making such improvement in his health * lately. The dates are set for October Bth. and 9th At this time she will inspect some of our best equipped and roost progressive schools with a view to standardizing them. We sin cerely hope that some of those who have improved and cleaned up their school buildings and premises may be rewarded with at least a probationary tablet. Two days will not be nearly long enough to do all that ought to be done, but it will at least be a be ginning, and will give us a little more definite idea of what to aim for. . The Chey enne county chapter will hold their election on Monday Oct. 8, at the Court House at 7;30 p. m. It is urged that all members and those assisting in the Red Cross work as well as prospective mem here make a special effort to at tend this very important meeting of the society. Other business of importance will also come before the meet ing. Supplies of material for ac tive work for the society are be ing received and will be distribu ted among the various branches of the organisation.
