E Goodnight and family, of Kit Carson, were in attendance at the Fair Tuesday. S. J. Adams and wife of the Arapahoe country were in Chey enne Wells last Friday. C. T. Pfost, of the Arapahoe neighborhood was a social caller at this office last Friday. On and after October Ist the post-office will be closed at6p. m Vivan Sadler P. M. Howard Lambert, of Arapahoe an over seas soldier boy, made this office a social call Monday. Had Compiler, wife and baby are visiting old time friends and relatives' in this county this week L. V. Hudson has the forms in for the foundation of his fine bungalow in the north part of town. We are informed that our court room will soon soon be equipped with new and hansorne up-to date chairs. Owens of north of Arapahoe, were in attendance at the Chey enne county Fair Tuesday. L. C. Swartzenberg. arrived in Cheyenne Wells Friday from Denver where he has been rest ing for several weeks. He looks better than when he left here. Phil Oglesby of the Arapahoe country, who has been at Hatlo wellJKan arrived home last Tues day. He reports having a good time as well as plenty of work. 11 Mrs. Beatrice Whitt ar.d son Frank Youtsey, of Gallatin Mo. are visiting C. G. Youtsey and family, and her son Elmer Yout sey, near Burlington this week. D. R. Groff and family, nephew of J. R. Groff, autoed to Cl.ey enne Wells from near Limon to visit witli his uncle and family for a few days the latter part of last week. Jos. Pilmaier, of Dubuque, la, also interested in Cheyenne coun ty land arrived in Cheyenne Wells Monday to look after his land interests and aiso see the big exhibits al our fair. We are informed that thirty - four pitces of land changed hands in this county one day this week It is not tu he wondered at, alter seeing the exibits at the Fair that so many wanted Cheyenne county land.
