Spacious Church is Thronged With Friends.—Military Company an Es cort of Honor.—Couple Leave Upon Extended Bridal Tour North. One of the prettiest church weddings that ever occurred in this city w’as that of Mr. Henry W. Pittman and Miss Mary Lou Noyes, which happy event took place last evening at 8:30 o’clock at the First Methodist church. On account of the popularity and high social standing of the young coup le their nuptials had been looked for ward to with much pleasure by a host of friends. Miss Noyes has long been considered one of the most beautiful young women in the city and hei charming disposition and lovely char acter has won for her many admirers and friends. Never did a bride look more sub limely beautiful. “No Grecian chisel could ere trace A lovelier form or fairer face.” The handsome groom. Mr. Pittman whom everyone knows, is to be heartil] congratulated upon winning such i charming life companion. The Methodist church never present ed a scene of more dazzling beauty with its myriad lights and exquisiti floral decorations. The wedding seem was a picture of loveliness as the lad] attendants, Misses Minnie John Wil liams, Mamie Goode and Deani< Noyes, exquisitely attired in white or gandy with satin trimmings, enterec the sanctuary, and beautiful indeei were they as they stood within th< chancel. ’ The bride, elegantly gowned in whit French silk mousselline, attended bj her maid of honor, Miss Rosalind Smith, attired in lovely pink organ dy, approached the altar from the wes door and was joined by the groom am his best man, Mr. John Wooten, The groomsmen, Messrs. J. M Smith, W. A. Wooten and G. W, Pitt man, who were in waiting within the chancel, were joined by the ushers Messrs. Charles Willis, Lee Hansford John W. Shiver, Z. S. Childers and L, G. McKinney, which completed th< handsome wedding party. The Americus Light Infantry, o which Mr. Pittman was a gallant mem ber, came as a special escort to thei comrade on his wedding eve, and ii their full dress uniform lent an inpir ing addition to the already perfec wedding circle. The bride and groom stood beneatl a magnificent floral arch, and midst th( strains of Mendelssohn’s wedding march, rendered by Mrs. Julia Everett the ceremony was impressively per formed by Rev. W. J. Noyes, father o the bride, assisted by Rev. G. W Mathews, after wLich the bridal parti passed slowly along the aisles of tin crowded church and to the home of th< bride’s parents, where congratulation! were tendered. ftlr. and Mrs. Pittman left by tin 9:36 train for Washington. One of th< interesting features of this pretty wed ding was the beautiful solo “Becausi I Love You, Dear” rendered by Mis; Mary Granberry prior to the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Pittman were the re cipients of many beautiful and costly presents, the Knights of Pythias pres enting an "exquisite gift, as did tin Americus Light Infantry. No young couple ever started life under more cheering auspices, and all America? wishes Mr. Pittman and his bonny bride a delightful wedding trip and i safe return home. • :v hacmtieb of is aubjwt to ;• i • h < mimon but- • ainfrJ .ill • 00.. sat cramps, chohra morlnn, ami <ysei.tr;. that, by neglect, may be made chronit and dangerous.
