Peerless -- Chalmers Willys-Overland WEST LAMAR STREET Phone 16 AMERICUS, GA Albany Builds Fair Plant For The Future A delegation consisting of John Sheffield, George Marshall, Joseph Perkins and Lovelace Eve went to Albany Friday to inspect the live stock—particularly the pigs—at the Albany Fair. Albany has possibly one of the finest plants—that is, buildings and grounds—of any first-year fair in the state. One of the first impressions one received is the cleanliness! and attractiveness of buildings, fences and grounds. The half-mile track is in excellent condition and a crowd of 1,500 or 2,- 000 seemed to enjoy the trotting, pacing and running races Friday. It is evident that the officials are , building for the future. This year I the exhibits in all departments are very few, but with the splendid hous ing facilities, Albany should have next year one of the best county fairs in the state —or the South, for that matter. The officials are to be con gratulated upon their foresight in constructing the fair plant for per manency, Sunday School ‘Trip To Korea’ Begins Today “You are most cordially invited to join the Sunday school in a trip to Korea, Sunday, October 26.
