Terrell says, be fore June 1. To Become a Grand I.ady. Josephine Bacci, a 16-year-old girl from the Orient, of Armenian parent age, is at police headquarters here, having come under peculiar circum stances. Her parents were killed in one of the Turkish massacres. She was taken in charge by Franciscan Sisters and lived with them in Italy until a short time ago. when she was brought to America and became an in mate of St. Benedict's convent at Au gusta. The young girl, anxious to leave the convent, broke open the charity box there and secured money enough to buy a ticket to Atlanta. She went direct to police headquarters, and asked Chief Bail to give her a ticket to Philadelphia, where she says she wants to go and become a grand lady. She is in charge of Matron Bohefeld, and her case will be investigated. Died As She Had Dreamed. Two weeks ago Mrs. Dan Coursey, 5'J years old, of 163 West Mitchell street, this city, became ill and told her parents she had dreamed she would die on April 15. She died at 11 o'clock this morning. She leaves a husband and several children. Thrown From Automobile. An automobile, in which there were E. H. Goodhart, wife and child, and Mrs. Robert A. Hemphill of this city, had a colUon last night with a street car on the Peachtree road beyond the city iimits. All the occupants were thrown violently to the ground, and the machine was smashed almost be yond repair. None of the party, was seriously injured. Agreement aa to Delegates. Albert Howell, Jr., who is chairman of the Executive Committee of one of the Parker Clubs, and T. B. Felder, Jr., chairman of the Executive Com mittee of the othef Parker Club, have ttgreed on the names of certain per sons who will be presented as dele gates to the State Convention from Fulton county. They are both on the delegation. It is stated positively that this is in no sense an agreement or compromise between the two Parker Clubs, and that each is still "toting Its own skillet." WEATHER HURTS TRADE. To So Other Cdif. Rnmnr, Im Ml(ht Drprrsilon Attributable. New York, April 15.—R. G. Dun & Co's, weekly review of trade to-morrow will say: Tardy spring weather, following an unusually severe winter, makes It diffi cult to restore satisfactory trade con ditions, but it is encouraging to find at many points this unseasonable weather only cause of compfaint, and there is always hope that the early losses may be made up. at least in large measure, when thermal condi tions become normal. In the mean time sales of dry goods are restricted and stocks in tall positions from pro ducer to consumer are larger than is desirable. . Aside from the Cotton States, where business is brisk, the week's dis patches indicate that early gains were maintained, but little further progress occurred. Labor controversies are still an adverse factor. Railway earnings in the first week of April were 7 per cent, smaller than last year. No definite check to progress In the iron and steel industry Is discern ed, although it lacks uniformity and In some departments It is difficult to find encouraging signs In textile manufacturing there is no improvement. The recent upward ten dency of cotton goods has given place to a market distinctly favoring pur chasers. Failures this week number 225 against 212 last year. A YOUNG WIFE DIES BY HER OWN HAND.
