The Southern Pacific depot was tlie scene of a terrible accident last night in which a brave young soldier who had enlisted in the service of his Country and was on his way to the Philippines lost his Ufa. This was William Abel, quar termaster sergeant of the Sixth United States infantry. Details of the accident as far as could be obtained were as fol lows: The train carrying the soldiers had arrived and the engine had been cut off. The person in question bad got out of the car and stepped across the Uack. In returning his foot caught and be fell. An engine was coming down the track and before he could extricate himself it had run over him. He lived buta few min utes afterwards. The body was horribly mangled. The coroner's jury was sum moned and viewed the body. The in quest will be held at 9 a. m. this morning. Tucson Star. The post office department is contem plating the introduction of a new form of postal money order. It will be made to conform to the size of an ordinary bank check, and the marginal figure heretofore printed on the money order, will no long - er be used. A receipt will bs given the remitter at the time of the purchase of the order. The new form will be much more convenient for handling by the business people and the banks and will be introduced about September 15. Branch Dental Offioe. Dr. Heavenston, the Prescott Dentist, has opened up a permanent branch office in Clifton, and is prepared to do Dental Work of all kind ; and as the Doctor is well known throughout this Territory as a Dental Inventor and Educator, the people will have no trouble in having their Dental Work well attended to. Dr. Heavenston particularly advises all persons to beware of giving their work to traveling dentists who, having no great responsibility, are not to be relied upon, as many of the citizens of Clifton have discovered to their sorrow. Dr. Heaven ston's office is in the Clifton Hotel, Room No. 1. J. C. Gatti & Co., proprietors of the Clifton Meat Market & Sausage Factory, keep nothing but first-class meats. Give them a trial order.
