Article 1 V The general nature of the business pro posed to be transacted sl.all be to buy. own, lease or otherwise acquire timber and tim ber lands, to engage in baying and selling lumber and bui ding materials of every kind and description, both- at wholesale and re tail to build, own. operate and control mills for the manufacture of lumber and building materials, and to buy. own, hold, use and operate steam, electric, water or other power for the purpose of operating the mills, and all other mechanical or industrial plants of this corporation, and to use and ex ercise a 1 other rights and privileges, powers and franchises ne-essary to enable this cor poration to carry on. and into effect, the ob jects and purposes of its creation. Article V The amount ot the capital stock ot this corporation shall be Seven Hundred and fifty thousand (S7S0.OUO.Cu) dollars, divided in to seventy-nve thousand shares, ot the par value of Ten (tld) dollars per share, and said capital stock shall be fully paid up at the dale of Issuance, or at any such time as the Hoard of directors mav designate, in money, proiierty, labor or any other valuable right tir tninif. and the iudgment of the Board of lllreciors or other managing orhcers as to the value thereof, shall be conclusive. Sloan, Gov ernor of the Territory of Arizona, did.on the 28th day of August 1911, receive from the -president of the United States a certified copy of the joint resolution of the senate and house of representatives of the United States, approved AuffU9t 21, 1911, and a notice to the effect that under said resolution so certified it is made my official duty, as Governor of the Territory of Arizona, within thirty days from the date of the re ceipt of such certificate and notice, to issue a proclamation for the hold ing of the first general election as provided for in election ordinance No. 2. adopted by the constitutional con vention of Arizona, and for the sub mission lo a vote of the electors of the said territory of the amendment to the constitution of the proposed -State of Ari-zona in accordance with the terms and conditions contained in said joint resolution: Now, therefore, In pursuance of the authority conferred by the Act of Congress, approved June 20, l!)10, and the joint resolution of the senate and house of representatives of the United States of America in congress as sembled, approved August 21, l'.rtl aod in accordance with said certifi cate and notice received fiom the President of the United States, I, fjichard R. Sloan, Governor of the Territory of Arizona, do hereby pro claim and order that a general elec ion shall be held within the Terri tory of Arizono on Tuesday, the 12th day of December, 1911. SANDERS. that in each county of the territory there shall be elected at said general election the follow ing county officers, namely: a sheriff, a recorder, a. treas- i urer, a school superintendent, a coun ty attorney, an assessor, a county superintendent of roads and a sur veyor, the term of office ot each of said officers shall terminate on the first Monday in January, 1913; and" there shall also be elected at said general election in each of said coun ties three supervisors, whose terms of office shall be as tollows: the candi date who shall receive the highest number of votes at said election shall hold office until the first Monday In January, 191.3, and the two candidates receiving the next highest number of votes shall hold office until the first 1 Monday in January, 1913. Eyery public officer in the State of - Arizona, except -members of the judiciary, holding an elective office, either by election or appointment, is subject to recall from such office by the qualified electors of the electoral district from which candidates are elected to such office. Such electoral dis trict may include the whole state. Such number of said electors as shall equal twenty five per centum of the number of votes cast at the last preceding general election for . all of the candidates for the office held by such officer may by peti tion, which shall be known as a re call petition, demand his recall." ' I do further proclaim and order that the ballots to be provided for ' said general election shall have -printed thereon this proposed amend ment, and there shall be placed on said ballots two blank squares with'.' dimensions of one half an inch, and opposite one of said squares shall be . printed the words, "for constitutional amendment," and opposite the other . blank square shall be printed tbe words,"agz.inst constitutional amend ment." I do further proclaim and order that under and by virtue of the pro visions of the Enabling Act of con gress, approved June 20, 1910, and the terms and provisions of said or dinance No. 2, a qualified elector at said general election shall be any male citizen having resided in the territory at least twelve months next preceding the date of the election of delegates to the said constitutional convention, which was held on the 12th day of September, 1910,and who shall possess iu other respects the qualifications of an elector as pro-' vided by Title 20, Revised statutes of Arizona, August 2, 1901, and whose name appeared upon the great reg ister as constituted by section 19, of said Enabling Act: and I do hereby ' offer a reward of fifty ($50.00) Dol lars for the arrest aud conviction of any and every person violating any of the provisions of Title IV, part 1, of the Penal Code, such reward to be paid until the total amount hereafteF expended lor the purpose reaches tbe amount of one thousand ($1000.00) Dollars.
