Last Sunday evening Jim Linder's house caught fire, and the kitchen with all its contents were burned before the fire could be extinguished Mr.Cosset has been on the sick list for several days. Mrs. John Root of Cambridge is visit ing her mother, Mrs. Hinkle. Mrs. Gossie left Saturday to join her husband at Mackey, Idaho. Mode Addington Jr. has gone to Weiser to work on the railroad. Misses Lida and Edna Biggerstaff will spend next week in Weiser. John McRoberts is buying up a few calves. F. A. Stewart has moved on to Wm. Hopper's ranch, where he expects to farm next year. Charley Johnson of Illinois has taken up a ranch on Sage creek, in this valley, where he intends to make a good home in the future. Andrew Miller, who just lately arrived from the Sunflower state, has purchased a ranch in Salubria valley, near the mouth of Pine creek. John Tinsley of the east side went to Salubria last Thursday.
