his father, who lives in another state.
Such leave was unanimously granted.

NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL COUPON
BONO ISSUE AND SALE BY THE
CITY OF TWIN FALLS IDAHO.
Public notice is hereby given, that
the City ot Twin Falls, in the County
of Twin Falls and State of Idaho, in
tends to issue and negotiate the mu
nicipal coupon bonds of said city In
the aggregate amount of Three Hun
dred Seventy-five
(?375,0U0 00) to provide
the enlargement, extension, repair, al
teration and improvement of the wat
works plant in and for said city.
Said bonds will be issued in
fortuity with the provisions of Ordi
nance No. 223 of said city adopt
ed and approved on the 17th day of De
cember, A. D. 1917, and subject to
the approval of the qualified elec
tors of said city voting upon the
question at an election to be held in
conformity with said ordinance.
If the issue of said bonds Is ap
proved by the electors as aforesaid,
the bonds will bear date the first day
of January, A. D. 1918, will be
deemahle at the option of the city at
any time after the expiration of ten
(10) years from the date thereof, and
shall he absolutely due and payable
on the first day of January. A. D.

the denomination of One Thousand
Dollars ($1,000.00) each. The princi
pal of said bonds and the interest
thereon shall be payable at the office
of the City Treasurer, or at Kouutao
Brothers. Bankers, In the City and
State of New York, at the option of
the holder. Said bonds will bear in
terest at the rate not exceeding six
per centum (6 per cent.) per annum,
payable semi-annually on the 1st day
of July and the 1st of January In
each year.
The Mayor and Council of the said
city of Twin Falls will up to Wednes
day, the 6th day of February, A. D.
1918, at the hour of 8 o'clock p.
at the office of the City Clerk,
coive sealed bids for said bonds.
All bids must he without condition
as to legality and must be accompan
ied by unconditional certified check
on a national hank or trust company
equal in amount to ten per cent (10
per cent.) of the face value of the
bonds hid for. Bidders shall state the
rate of interest (not exceeding six per
cent., 6 per cent) per annum on which
their bids are based.
After ascertaining the best terms
upon and the lowest rate at which
bonds can be negotiated, the bonds
will be sold, but In no case for loss
than their par value and accrued in
terest at tho time of disposal by ths
City Treasurer under the general
pervlsion of the Mayor and Council.
