Last Side of Square, Camden, Texx. TOO HIS O.'N LIFE. Henry i'.iiltnn, of (-.ii'tieM, Hansel lliui elf Limt I i l l. iv M.iriiln;;. Tlu! shocking news was reecivei he iv Saturday that Henry Britten, i who resided near Garfield, had com miiU'd suicide by linnin hims'-lf. llt lia.l only boon married a few months, lait his wife left him short ly after, and resided near by with her three children. JIo lived alono with his young daughter. He sup plied his wife with everything sho needed, and did all the chores about the place, such as preparing wood and tilling tho va;;r pails, but she constantly refused his entrecties to live with him again, and neighbors says that tlik; condition o affairs preyed upon his mind heavily, but no one dreamed that it would end in his taking his own life. Last Friday morning he sent over some fresh milk to his wife, but she refused to accept it. Ho expressed no regret, but left the house with a plow-line, as though ho was going about some work on the tarm. Ho did not return for dinner, but Lis daughter thought nothing of it, and in the evening she prepared tho usual meal, but still ho had not re turned. She becamo uneasy, and about 8 o'clock she discovered his dead body swinging from a joist in a near-by housed used as a store room by the family. Her screams soon aroused sevoral neighboring families, and tho news of liritton's suicide spread rapidly. When found his knees touched the floor and his body was rigid, show ing that ho hung himself that morn ing and it was necessary for him to raise his feet from the floor, and in this way he doubtless slowly and painfully strangled to death. The deceased was a brother of Jim Britton.now serving a life term in tho penitentiary tor murdering his wife several years ago, but un like tho latter, Henry Uritton was cheerful and kindly disposed, and was devoted to his wife in every way, and there is no doubt that her refusal to live with him led hiia in a moment of bitter reflection to commit the act which ended hislife. It seems the cause of their sepa ration was trivial. Mrs. Uritton objected when he attempted to cor rect her children for disturbing him while writing, and sho carried . her objection to a separation. FJ'.OIU MISSIONAKY GKOVK.
