Leland, who died in the Philippines, was in the city Tuesday. She was en route to New York to visit her sister, and stopped off to meet the friends of Mr. Leland, many of whom reside in this city. She is interested in lavinsr the remains of her husband brought to the United States. A Paris special to the Nashville American last Saturday says: " C. N. Wright, of Huntingdon, to-day bought the large stave plant which T. J. Dodd has been operating in Henry County and will continue tho business. The plaut is one of the largest in West Tennessee.
