At present the oompany is working about 0,000 men. The chief offices of this company are in Bristol. In selecting McsBrs. Nathan G. Rob ertson and A. A. Each gentle man will devote a portion of his time to the work and each will be clothed with the same power. What sweeter remembrance could be thought of than that Sabbath after Sabbath the beautiful tones of this organ should call to mind one who was once a member of the churoh? After a pleasant drive of two miles past the old Bethel church, where many Doaks and Robinsons are buried, the beautiful residence of Dr. Robinson was reached. This is an ideal country home, showing refinement and good taste, with a largo porch the chief at traction, while the 'phone and other convonionccs toll that lifo on a farm need no longer be a bleak one. The younger members of the family and Miss Grace Piper received the guests in a charming manner. Mrs. George Jewel, a member of the aid, now stop ping in Greoneville, and her sister, Miss Naff, joined the party, who appreciated the bounteous dinner served. All the vegetables of the season, the fine cream butter, chicken and ham all disappear ed miraculously, "and still the wonder grew, ihat one small body should carry all that grew." The business meeting was short, consisting mostly of a vote of thanks to Mrs. Robinson for her kind entertainment of the society, of which she was a valued member while in Johnson City. Then an exploration and examination from the separator to the burr mill, where the sweetest meal is ground, ended just before the shower, which curbed and refreshed the air for the re turn trip, the vestibule waiting for the shower to cease, giving ample time to reach the station. The large team not being deemed sufficient, the Dr. had a span of mules put in front to help up the hills, and some of the ladies said it was the first time they ever ate so much it took an extra team to pull them. Lit tle Miss Edith Brazwell added to the enjoyment of the day and all were glad she was not left at Jonesboro, as origi nally intended. The young folks had their fortunes told by a well known palmist. Not even a fence is an obstacle to these la dies when they get started. But there, I was told not to tell how much tbey ate or what they dfd. Owing to rain in the afternoon an exploration of his toric Greoneville was postponed, be sides the day was none too long at the ideal country home, where the grand father of the present owner once lived. A. D. H. do not fail, from the case of locomotor ataxia of colt, brought to my attention, it is probable that many valuable brood animals are badly coutauiiuated herea bouts. I uow learn that farm, garden and stock husbandry methods are fast uu dergoing a chauge from the old,hap- hazzard ways to the more intelligent, scientific, PRACTICAL KA1IMIN0, aud this is as it shonld be. Here they have a saw-mill and force of hands steadily at work. They are shipping some very fine timber, principally of oak aud poplar varieties, shipping sev eral cars of timber to the Uuaka Lumber Co , of Johnson City, aud considerable lumber to the Ex um Lumber Co., of the same city. Their operations hereabouts cut quite a figure in the local export shipments, their standing here is of the best, aud all contracts of auy kind entered into by this firm are always executed with fidelity. That they are eminently trust worthy is quite evident from the com plimentary references uttered concern ing them from all sources.
