Miss Melonee Grimes died at
her home in Cookeville last Sun
day morning and was , buried at
West ceihetery Monday, funeral
services were conducted by Rev.
W. B. Gentry. Melonee was a
christain girl and dearly loved by

with home-folks and returned to
Fentress county Sunday where
he has been hauling stave bolts.
Miss Lura Boles visited Miss
Florence Pigg Sunday.

sick list and has been for several

School opened last Tuesday
with a large enrollment. Several
of the old students have returned
to school.
The little child of Mrs. Cross
has been quite sick for the past
few weeks. v
Mrs. Joe Gooch and children
have returned to P. H. after
spending the summer at their
home in white county.
Mrs W.' Ml Lee is visiting her
daughter, Mrs. Cora Cooper at
Cookeville. ,
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Smith
have returned to their home after
attending the association at Fair
view. TheV spent a nice time.
Miss Georgia Hickey visited
friends in P.H. Monday.
The C. E. 'meeting was very
interesting with Miss Roberts as
leader.
A. Boyce has returned from
Michigan where he spent the
summer.
Clay Bean was the guest of
Oscar Gentry Sunday evening. '
