DIXIE COLLEGE AND
HIGH 8CHOOL NOTES
. The November number of the Dixie
Derrick has been issued.
Prof. Blair Harrison was host and
toastm aster at a six course dinner in
honor of the football squad and their
coach, last Wednesday at 8 p. m. Pro
fessors Sisk, Pitts and Jared were
guests.
Mr. Robert Oakley, of Hickman.was
a visitor Friday.
Messrs. Roscoe Proffltt and Cooper
Loftis went to Kingston Friday.
A feature Friday morning was the
reading of Santa Claus letters, writ
ten by the students, by Prof Pitts.
They were filled with wit, joviality
and good will and were enjoyed.

In Mississippi visiting relatives. Prof,
and Mrs. Pitts, at Fayetteville; Lof
ton Puckette, at Elkton; Prof, and
Mrs. Sisk, in Georgia, visiting his par
ents; Miss Martin in Cookeville; Miss
Kuykendall. at her home near Cooke
ville; Blanche and 0 tie Darwin, near
Gaine boro; Mi-s Emily Sue Dow, at
Franklin.

Is a new firm that has just been organ
ised for this town, and charter applied
for. The officers will be G. C. Davis,
preident; Jack McCamey, vice presi

and Clyde W. Jones. They will man
ufacture groceries and druggist sun
dries, handling peppers, spices and ex
tracts. The incorporators of this firm
are our townsmen and are all thor
oughly business men, men of ability.
