Sutton, a Presbyterian minister, who served as a registration clerk during the precinct registration last month,! was found guilty of illegally entering names on the registration books. The penality for the offense is from one to five years in prison. Sutton asserted that he did not know he was violating the law. RUSHED AWAY TO ESCAPE ANGRY MOB Middlesbcro, Ky., April 4. Two hours after he had been accuse d of as sault, feeling was so high against Mack ' McClendon, a negro, that he was rush. edto Plnevllle, Ky., to avoid mob vengeance- Miss Jennie Dixon, 18 years old, was the victim of an assault eirly Thursday. McClendon was ar rested on her testimony. GIRL;ACCIDENTALLY HANGED IN SWING Shubuta, Miss., April 4. A, 14-year-old daughter of S. R. Neely, living four miles north of Shubuta, lost her life Friday when she was accidentally hanged in a swing at her father's home. The child was playing in the swing and in some manner got one of the ropes caught around her neck. Losing her footing, she was suspended by the neck in a helpless condition, strang ulation preventing her from calling for help. She was dead when found.
