Clint and Foster Kelly and families attended cburcb here Sunday. " Miss Mary Mitchell, of Chattanooga has been visiting tho family of E. K. iTigtnore. Austin Coppiuger died at his home in Coppinger Cove Tuesday night about 8 o clock. He was struck witb Earalysis recently while at Jasper, but ad apparently recovered, and was able to walk about bis place and eat neart ily. He was taken suddenly ill Toes day night and before he could be as sisted to bis bed fell to the floor and died in a few minutes. He was 67 years old and served in the Federal army daring a portion of tbe Civil War, enlisting August H, 1864, in Co. C. 0th Tennessee Mounted Infan try, and being discharged June 30, 1865, with rank of sergeant. He be came a member of Post 53, G. A. R., Seqnachee, Sept. 2, 1892. Intel ment was made today at the Lasater grave yard at 10 o'clock, in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends Mr. Coppinger was a man of very kindly nature and bad many friends. H was a great relator of stories and anecdotes, and left laughter and fun in bis path. His fund of stories was apparently inexhaustible and he has dispelled many a case of the "blues" by bis universal good humor. He is one of the old pioneer lanimarks of this section who will be greatly miss ed by all, young and old. The train was speeded up pretty lively before Brewer showed Condra bis ticket, and it was up to tbe latter not to ride as far. He got off gracefully, but lit, it is said, not so gracefully.
