In this cause, it duly appearing by affidavit, duly filed, that you and eacTi of you arc non residents of the State of Tennessee, you are therefore, hereby notified of the petition of Charlie Everett" et r.l. filed on January 31st', 1919, as amended on the 17th day of March, 1919, in the County Court of Obion County, Tennessee, before the Honor able Joel B. Washing Tubs, No. 1 each J $1.20 ' " , " 2 " 1.45 " u ii ii i Cash Grocery Go. or terminus or termini of the ditchea, drains and other proposed improve ments of every nature together with the plat and profile showing same, and the course and length of same, approximately thru each tract of land as far as may be practicable and that the total length and course and cleva tion as near as may be practicable, and all ponds and depressions if any in said proposed drainage district, the fall obtainable across said dis trict, as well 3 the boundaries of the proposed drainsfge district end de scription of the real estate and each .tract of land therein as shown by any reliable and correct source of infor mation, and also the names of the owners' of each tract of land, together with the probable cost of the pro- ed improvements, and such other lacts and recommendations as said engineer may deem beet and ma terial; that upon tho filing of said report, proceedings and returns of said engineer, as herein ordered, the Court examine same and if said plan seems to be expedient and meets tbe approval of tho Court that Court order the Clerk of this Court to cause notice to bo given by writ or summons to be issued by said Clerk, tho samo to run in the name of the State of Tennessee, and to be served upon all resident owners of tracts of land or realty, or intercct therein who aro pot petitioners in this cause etc., and also upon any resident lien holders or encumbrancers or persons ln'actual occupancy of any real estate within said . propoccd district as shown by the records of Obion Coun ty, Tennessee, and notifying them and each of, them of the pendency of this petition and the prayer thereof, said. writ or summons (and publica tion notice later on ordered) not to give or set out in detail the contents of said petition or of its prayer; said writs or summons to be issued to the Sheriff of Obion County, or the Sheriff of any other County in Tennessee, that may be'necessary, commanding the Sheriffs respectively to summons the persons, firms or corporations therein named in their respective writs or summons, to appear before the Court on tho day set by the Court for the hearing of the petition; that publication be mado as required by said Act of 1909 aforementioned as amended by the Act of 1915, Chcptcr No. 61, House Bill No. 571, passed March 30th, 1915 and approved April 3rd, 1916, for all non-resident own ers of land and real estate, lien-hold ers or encumbrance on same, or in terested in same, etc., when .said facts are made to appear as prescribed by said Act as amended; that the Court appoint a guardian ad litem for any and all infants and persons who are non compos mentis, as required by law; and that petitioners further pray in their petition that any and all things expedient, proper and nec essary and required by said Drainage Act, and as amended be ordered and done under suitable decrees of the Court, to the end that said territory, or cuch territory as the Court may deem best and proper, bo organized into a drainage district with all drains, ditches, end latorals and im provements as may be necessary un der all the facts and circumstances, and that any and all necessary assessments agreeable to the ternib and provision of said Drainage Act and as amended be mado and levied, etc., and that if desired Drainage bonds ao provided in said Drainage Act aforementioned and as amended may be issued under suitable orders and decrees of the Court, and that a3 a part of the expenses and cost in cident to the organization, formation ond completion of said Drr.inago Dis trict all reasonable and proper fees be allowed; and petitioners further pray in said petition for such other, fur ther and general relief as they may be entitled to at the hearing and under the facts, and you and each of you aro further notified that W. C. Kelly, Engineer, heretofore regularly appointed by the Court in this cause, has done all things by the law and said decree appointing him required, and has on tho 12th day of March, 1919, filed his returns, proceedings and report with R. H. Bond, Clerk of the County Court of Obion County, Tennessee, and that said returns, pro ceedings and report ofW. C. D. It was further ordered in thlo cause that this notice be published for two con secutive weeks in the Commercial, a weekly newspaper published in Union City, Obion County, Tcnncsseo, the last publication to be as much as tea days before Tuesday, April 22nd, 1919, the day 3ct by tho Court for the hearing of the petition as amend ed. , ' . After March 1, 1919, tho chicken law will be enforced, and all officers are Instructed to impose a fine of not less than $2.50 or moro than $50.00 for each offense. This law has been abused somewhat in tho pa3t, owing to war conditions. Your neighbor docs not want to report you.
