Mr. and Mrs. John Inman and daughter, Miss Ethel, have been spending a few days in Troy. The A. R. P. Miles, Jr., as secretary of the Board of Ed ucation. F. E. Quinn la secretary and receives a compensation of $200 a year for his services as such. Mr. Miles is a member of the board but not secretary and does not draw a salary of J 200. He is however ap pointed to look after the school buildings and grounds and gives his personal attention to the school, drawing only J18 a year for his services. Miss Gilmar Marcus, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Cy Marcus died at home in Number Four on Thursday, April 22, 1920, aged 15 years. The young girl was a member of the Baptist Church, professing faith in God some two years ago. She leaves father, mother, her twin sla ter, Vielma, one brother, three half brothers, one half sister and a host of sorrowing relatives and friends. Services were held at the church, with a beautiful tribute to the de parted by Rev. Crocker. Remains were laid to rest under a mound of flowers. By her cousin. Death of Mrs. Will Jordan. MraN Cora Jane Jordan, wife of Mr. Will Jordan, died of cancer in Nashville on Sunday, April 25, 1920, after a lingering illness. Mrs. Jordan was a member of the Methodist Church. . She was roared in Middle Tennessee. She was 'for merly Miss Mattle Foster and came to Obion County with , her husband, who survives. They leave no chil dren. Services were conducted at Salem by Rev.
