News was received here last week by Mrs. D. N. Walker and Mrs. Joe Rodgers of the death of Mrs. Chas. J. Crockett on the 13th inst. at her home in Detroit, Mich. Mr. and Mrs. Crockett had been living in Detroit since December 1, 1920. Before that they lived in Cleveland, Ohio, where they located after leaving Colorado. Mrs. Crockett was before her mar riage Miss Meredith Edwards, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Edward3, and a sister of W. J. Edwards, St. Louis. "She was reared in Union City, a most lovaoie ana sweet-spirneu young woman. She was a member of the ... Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Sunday School and de voted to all the church work, espe cially the music of the choir, in which she sang. CHAPTER 381 PRIVATE ACTS 1921, AN ACT to amend Chapter 136 of the Acts. of 1891 of the'General As sembly of Tennessee, entitled, "An' Act to create the office of County Judge for the County of Obion and prescribe hi? duties"" so as to enlarge the powers, duties and jurisdiction of the County Judge of said County. SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee, That Chapter 136 of the Acts of 1891 of the General As sembly of Tennessee, entitled, "An Act to create the office of County Judge for the County- of Obion, and prescribe his duties," be and the same is hereby so amended as to- con fer upon the County Judge of Obion County concurrent jurisdiction with the Chancellors and Circuit Judges of Tennessee, to grant fiats for writs of attachment and injunction, vrits of certiorari and supersedeas1, and all other extraordinary writs usually granted by chancellors and Circuit Judges of this State. SECTION 2. BE IT " FURTHER ENACTED that said County Judge of Obion Countv shall have concurrent Jurisdiction with the Circuit and Criminal Court Judges of this State to hear petitions for and grant writs of habeas corpus.
