The Cheney Concert Company was here Monday evening with a classical program greatly appreciated by mu sic devotees. This brings our lyceum course to a close. As one of our fac Tilty said in introducing the Misses Cheney, their brother and Mr. Mc Donald, we should congratulate our selves tremendously to have a talent here at a popular price which in our Eastern cities would be thribble or perhaps more. Readings of Miss Cheney, piano solo from Chopin by Mr. McDonald and several numbers played on the chimes instrument were favorites. Some species of skunk visited Cald well avenue this week, taking the" heavy toll of a hen from a high priced setting of eggs and breaking the key and otherwise jimming the engine of W. H. Cravens' car. Same party or parties probably the same evening used McAdoo Harris' car without leave. Extra clerks in the annual rag sale at Harper & Shore's this week were Mrs. Jas. Hornaday, Davis, Cravens and others appear on the pogram.
