Church Centenary movement, filled the pulpit at the Methodist Church last Sunday night, while the organist, Mr. Happel, was engaged for the service. Quite a large audience heard the address and the music for the occasion and were greatly edified. The thought which inspired Dr. Rich's remarks was that the world will never be at peace un til mankind recognize the hand of God in our lives and make some sac rifices for God and humanity. Instead of the regular Sunday school and preaching service next Sunday morning we will observe our annual "Sunday School Day," begin ning . promptly at ten-thirty. Mr, Harry Happel will be at the organ and favor us with some special selec tions suited to the occasion. At seven thirty p.m. we will have the regular preaching service by the pastor. Sub ject, "My Father's God." A cordial invitation is extended to the public to be with us, not only at these, but at the other services when you can. . Death of Mrs. Myatt. Mrs. Catherine Haynie Myatt, who was for some time engaged as nurse at Nailling's Hospital, died at the home of her slsteiv Mrs. Fred Gilli land, in Number Ten, Tuesday morn ing, the 12th Inst., after an illness which was the result of an attack of appendicitis last fall. She was taken to the hospital for an operation, but had never fully recovered. Mrs. Myatt was 28 years of age and a daughter of P. J. Haynie. She was a member of the Christian Church, a most estimable, kind hearted young woman, and greatly beloved by those of the patients and others with whom she came in contact. She .is sur vived by four sisters and four broth ers, as follows: Mrs. Fred Giili- land, Mrs. Horace Gilliland, Mrs. Ef- fie Wicker, Mrs. John Frierson, J. H A. J., Ben and Carl Haynie, all of Number Ten. The remains were Interred at San ders Chapel. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. B. Cunning ham.
