The best authorities urge that pi anos should be inspected and cared for regularly and frequently, and, by all means, should be tuned, at least, twice a year. I have made piano -uning and al lied arts my chief study and en deavor, and will assure honest and conscientious work in this vocation. But it is evident that, to get the best satisfaction and results from a piano, it must be kept in tune, in regula tion, in voice, in repair. This can be achieved only by regular and fre quent endeavors. Just as the human voice ap proaches perfection in the achieve ment of the art of cultivation, only by the best devised practice, so must the piano retain its individuality by the most cautious attentiveness to its needs.
