J01N THE JONES
The Jones' decided that paying rent year after
year was not getting them anywhere, so they
concluded to build their own home. Babin and
Brown, promoters of Fairfields helped them find
an ideal lot to start with.
Then, J. H. Callahan, the contractor, helped
them plan a beautiful house and told them if they
bought the lumber that he would build it for a
certain price. They went to see Landry Brothers
and they gave them an estimate on the lumber.
With these figures they went to the Capital
Building and Loan Association and arranged a
loan that could be paid back in regular install
ments just like rent.
From there they went to see Mr. E. D. Thomas
about the plumbing. For a heating plant they de
cided on steam so saw Smythe rhd Palmer, the
tinsmiths, who handle the Arcola heating outfit.
The lighting fixtures will be furnished by
Baton Rouge Electrical Works who handle "Every
thing Electrical," and the papering and interior
decorating will be done in a high class manner by
Boning Wall Paper Store.
You can do the same as the Jones' did and it
will cost you no more than rent.
The best is none too good for your home. Coin
sntlt its about your electrical work.
