The wise man will secure a home for his family and a refuge

dread of rent day or removal in case of inability to meet the de
mand of an unsympathizing landlord. There are but few able
bodied men in this community unable to purchase a city or sub- :
urban lot of ground on the installment plan and that too with
funds spent unnecessarily for things that have no stability. Nev- :4
er in the history of Baton Rouge, with the exception of a time "
when European sovereigns were issuing land grants to attract .
