Statistics Reveal t ¢ t January cash income of farmers was ‘ the highest for January, 1936, in five years, according to the Burean of Agri-| ( cultural Economics, Washington. To taling $566,000,000, the January eash| ] farm income included only $1,000,000 in | benefit payments, yet was 46 million dol-| ] lars higher than the January, 1935, in-| | come, which inciuded $70,000,000 of| t benefit payments. The January ecash income of 1934 was $490,000,000 and included $60,000,000 of benefits. Cash 7 income in January, 1933, when there were no benefit payments, totaled only |[ $348,000,000, having fallen from $347 .- 000,000 in January, 1932, and $589,000,- 000 in January, 1931. The Burcau reported the total farm cash income for the year 1935 was $6.- 943.000,000—11 millions above the esti mate issued in December. This included sal~s of products plus benefit payments.
