Camberland, Rid. Administration Of Community Chest Canvassers in the recent War Fund and Community Chest cam paign not infrequently found un willing givers to the latter while | being generous givers, out of very limited means, to the former. The lowest paid wage-earners in the community manifested this spirit most intensely. Many of them spoke with feeling of their failure, when in distress, to get any help from the Community Chest. On the other hand they voiced the charge that, to their knowledge, people who did not need it got help. Such complaints, I submit, should be in vestigated. As the canvasser of the laun dries, cleaners, dyers, etc., I heard these complaints most intensely uttered. The workers in these in dustries are largely wives and mothers. What are their wages? The community should know. imiiMiiitticmiiMmt'iiptnnHinmiiimiittmiina'antfitaimt'iMt::, l mm):::mi!t:!iiiuim Dr. E. W. Larson Chiropractor Full Spine X-Ray 188 N.
