Page 4 M usic Scholarships Available at M.U. College Park, Md. The Univer sity of Maryland today announced establishment of a $1,600.00 wind instrument scholarship, payable at S4OO a year for four years, through cooperation of Carling Brewing Company, Baltimore, Md. Professor Homer Ulrich, head of the music department, said those eligible are seniors with high academic standing in a high school in Maryland, a member of the school band or orchestra, who plays either the oboe, flute, bassoon or French horn. Applicants must make formal application to the Office of Student Aid, University of Maryland at Col lege Park, after having been ac cepted as a student for the year 1964-65. Professor Ulrich announced audi tions will be held at 9 a.m. Satur day, February 29, 1964 at Frederick High School, Frederick, Md.; Balti more City College, Baltimore, Md.; and the University of Maryland, College Park. Final auditions will be held April 3 in Baltimore. The scholarship will be governed by regulations of the Office of Student Aid.
