The even ing was spent in a social way and all departed wishing her many more to come. Mrs. Katherine Hallley, who is employed at the Ralph Beste home visited at the David Beck home on Sunday. Governor Elmer Benson spent Friday at the Ben Dußois home at Fairy Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Anderson and family were business callers at Emil Qudstorffs Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Stubbs and family, of Minneapolis, returned to their home Monday after having spent the past week at the Dußois cottage on Fairy Lake. Miss Emma Johnson spent Fri day at the Emil Baldwyck home. Mr. and Mrs. Avery Norton and family spent Sunday afternoon at the Anton Olson home. Pfenninger enjoyed a picnic at St. Cloud on Wednesday of last week. A nine pound son was born to Mr. and Mra Walter Gaffaney Marie Veeder) at the St Cloud hospital on Monday, June 28th. Mrs. M. E. Hines and daughter, Emma, Mrs. Lee Hamilton and Beatrice and Phyllis Hines visited on Monday afternoon at the Her man Bodeker home. Mrs. E. H. Pfenninger and Vera Hermanson called on Mrs. E. Mar shall at the Frank Domke home on Sunday. Mr and Mrs. Fay Bodeker spent Sunday afternoon with Mrs. M. E. Hines. Mr. and Mrs. A. Hess and grand children, Phillip and Patty, visited with relatives in Westport on Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. O. Frederick and children, of St. Paul, and Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Larson, of Sauk Centre, visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Frederick. Miss Ethel Buchholz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Buchholz, and Anton Tvrdlk, son of Mr .and Mrs. A Tvrdlk, of Lake Reno, were married at ten o’clock Mon day morning, June 28th, by the Rev. Beadle at the Glenwood par sonage. The bride was becomingly attired in an apricot net dress over blue with blue accessories. She was attended by Miss Christine Tvrdlk, the groom’s sister, who was dress ed in pink. WJalter Buchholz, the bride’s brother, attended the groom. A wedding reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs Buchholz for the members of the two families and a wedding dance was given at Gene’s barn in the evening. The bride is a graduate of the Villard High School and the St. Cloud Teachers’ College. She has taught school in Pope county for the past several years. The groom is engaged in farming near Lake Reno, where they will make their home. Westport friends ex tend congratulations. McCormick Lake Frank Graber spent Friday af ternoon at Graber’s.
