School Entertainment Draws Large Crowd. The Assembly Hall at the dis trict school here was taxed to capacity last Friday evening and all present enjoyed a rare treat. The occasion was the annual Christmas tree and entertainment given by the pupils of the school and was the equal if not surpassing others of its kind. The program consisted of play lets, songs, dialogues and recita tions appropriate to the occasion all of which were exceptionally well rendered by the pupils. We make no special mention as all did equally well and all received hearty applause. The evening’s enter tainment was evidence of much hard labor and patience on the part of the teachers, who had drilled the children in their parts. After the entertainment the fruits of a bountiful Christmas tree were distributed to all the children present, each received a large bag of candy and nuts, while all the grown ups were treated to apples or oranges. The orchestra, consisting of Mrs. Herbert McArthur, Frank D. Beaulieu, Charles Vanoss, Jos. Bellanger, Robert McArthur and Robert Monroe, rendered some excellent music which was much appreciated by all present. Genera! Council Officers To Hold Meeting at Bemidji Dec. 28th.
