The 1 e piece wàs well received and made'the audience laugh long, healthy laughs—not laughs that one i* ashamed of. The piece proved a distinctjiovelty, nothing like it ever having been seen in Toledo before. The costumes were Very pretty ; and the bit of Spanish interior shown upon the stage was appropriate and effective. The little comedy Itself while farcical in nature is treated by tl cast in a strictly legitimate way. It as clean, as bright, and as tertainment as one would care to wit ness. It is totally and absolutely devoid of eveh the remotest suggestion of broad ness and vulgarity, ana for that very particular, if fôr no other, it should be praised. All the comedians in the oast are pleasing singers, and the musical numbers offered last night were thor oughly appreciated. Mr. Jones is a very genial little chap, and his hand some, manly face and presence were a great aid to the per formance. Mr. Gerald, as the nacle, did a very effective bit of legitimate comedy, and the remaining members of the cast were equally as satisfactory.
