"Chamberlain's Cough Remedy has been used in my household for the past twenty years. I began giving it to my children when they were small. As a quick relief for croup, whooping cough, and ordinary colds, it has no equal. Being free from opium and other harmful drugs, I never felt afraid to give it to the children. I have recommended it to a large number of friends and neigh bors, who have used it and speak highly of it," writes Mrs. Mary Minke, Shortsville, N. Y. Obtainablé every where. The barn was filled with baled hay and corn and made a big blaze until the fire company reached there. The blaze was soon under control, but the firemen had a hard job and had to stay there until 11:30 o'clock, as all the hay had to be moved to get to the fire. The barn and contents were practicallly a total loss. -o OHIO WOMAN'S WISH For Tired, Weak, Nervous Women Bellefontaine, Ohio.—"I wish every tired, weak, nervous woman could have Vinol, for I never spent any money in my life that did me so much good that I spent for Vinol. Greenwood has splendid local talent for minstrels, and the Elks Minstrels have always scored local successes, and their performance on the tenth of March will be awaited with eager interest. Savage's wonderful musical extravaganza of "Sari" filled the bill at the Greenwood Theatre last night to an appreciative audience. This Flungarian operetta of inter national success was filled with a number of wonderful waltz tunes, the three love duets, "Love Has Wings", "Softly Through the Sum mer Night", and "Love's Own Sweet Song" being most acceptable. The music of "Marry Me", "My Faithful Stradivari", and "Hazazaa" were ingratiating, piquant, and of high quality. The hilarious dance of "The Hazazaa was splendidly interpreted. The keystone of this production was its good orchestra, who capably brought out the fire, color, depth, and charm characteristic of Hungarian music. sparkling, joyous, ?» o A portrait of yourself is a dainty compliment to send to a dear friend at Easter. FOX SWIFT GIVE LOVELY DANCE of many seasons, in the nature of terphiscorean affairs, was the dance tendered at the Elks Club, on Wash ington avenue, Monday evening, when Mr and Mrs. D. Fox Swift, of Swif town, were host and hostess to their many friends and admirers, of Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Swift j have inseparably linked themselves by their many charms and attractions with our social circle; and since the acquisition of this lovely Tennçessean into our incomparable set of young matrons, she and her popular young husband have proven themselves in dispensable to our social circles, One of the loveliest entertainments Though living several miles south At nine o'clock Monday evening their guests began to gather at the palatial home of the Elks, and were met in the parlors by Mr. and Mrs. Swift. At nine-thirty the guests ascended to the spacious ball room on the third floor, to receive their programs from Miss Lucy McKay and Mrs. W. S, Dundas. Mr. and Mrs. Swift were also assisted by Mesdames H. W. Hagan and J. A. Tyson, and Misses Esther and Flora Reiman, in the entertainment of the honored guests, The ball room presented a most beautiful scene. From its center, around the main indirect chandelier, red, white and blue streamers ran their course to the four corners of the hall, dainty and effective flags being dotted along its borders. Flags adorned the four walls, and vertical red, white and blue etchings of liberty bells were hung in palisadil effect between the windows, with dainty flag effects at its lower apices. Exquisite taste was splendidly used in the adornment of the ball room with this appealingly effective patriotic scheme, in keeping with the prepared ness and George Washington birthday ideas. The orchestra stand was also banked with the pretty red, white and blue covering, and wonderful music was rendered by the Big Six Orchestra, The guests were present ed, as they entered, with chic pro grams, carrying out the patriotic scheme, numbering twenty dances which were exchanged by the merry revelers. The first five numbers were strictly programmed, and the remaining fifteen, and the five extras, were allowed favors. At midnight, the guests repaired to the lower parlors where they were served a most refreshing salad and coffee combination course by Mes dames J. A. Tyson, W. S. Dundas, and Misses Lucy McKay, Flora and Esther Reiman,, in a faultless manner. After this pleasant intermission, the dancing was resumed, and con tinued until almost two o'clock. The dance was unquestionably one of the most thoroughly enjoyable ever given in this city. Mr. and Mrs. Swift move among their guests with such a happy faculty that their very presence explains the pleasure so unmistakably attendant upon their entertainment. The delight of their guests Monday evening was so ex pressibly natural, and it was with ex ceeding reluctance that the fun lovers began their nighty-nights when the strains of "Home Sweet Home" announced the time of de parture. Mr. and Mrs. Swift's guests on this lovely occasion were Messrs, and Mesdames John Tyson, Arch Sturdi vant, Joe Scott, W. S. Dundas, Albert Watkins, W. R. Chandler, Geo. Wil son, Ben Terry, B, E.
