Euchre was the game enjoyed at the home of Mrs. Fred Kassel Sunday night in honor of her birthday. The party was com posed of several intimate friends of the hostess and was greatly enjoyed. The fire department was called to action Tuesday, an alarm having been turned from the residence of J. T. Wilson, on Broadway, but quick work repelled the flames and no serious damage resulted. Rev. L. M. Moore, who has been associated with the priests of St. Vincent's College, has been assigned to the faculty of the University of Dallas and left this week to assume his duties there. He will be jrreatly missed here owing to his untiring zeal towards church and educational work. Knehans, a minister widely known and quoted in their denomination, having been as signed to the local church at a conference held at Warrenton, He succeeds Rev. (1. E. Heidel. A review of the work for the past year will be given and a special sermon will be preached, fitted to the needs of Cape Girardeau 'and Centenary church. Section 4. Assesments Made i and Paid; How. Section 5.
