Last Saturday night there was given at Covington the most successful Camp banquet that has ever been given in this county. There were more than five hundred peoples in attendance, and the grand spread furnished by the Covington Camp M. W. A. was ample to have fed two orthree bundled more. After the banquet, and after all in attendance hud enjoyed much good music, the ladies and children were comfortably housed in the lower room of the building, where the had a most enjojablo time, although it stormed quite hard without. They used n pho nograph, and while the storm blow a gale about tho house, they listened to the latest songs und operatic stunts and gave no heed to the weather. And above them in the M. W. A. hall were about 110 neighbors who were proceeding to give tho mysteries of the order to six new members, and to say it was done in the most approv ed and up-to-date manner is but stat ing the truth. A more harmonious and pleasurable gathering of friends and neighbors has never met in our county, and the business transacted for the good of the order will show far into the future. There were many visitors from neigh boringcamps. Those from Hayti were: B. S. Stearns, PI. L. Davidson. .1. T. Buckley, J. L. Deleshmutt, Jack Edwards, Bates Byrd, Joint Fields, Robert Brooks and Gene PophamT NOTKS. John Fields was foundered and had to be subjected to the water tieatment and wasunableto wear his shoes home. L. Deleshmutt wouldn't help visiting tne entertain ment down stairs quite frequently -but theie is nothing strange about that to those who observed their llustrated actions when a certain young lady was assisting them to their choice ot dainties at the banquet. Robert Biooks say s he knows when he has a sulliciency , as well as when he has an insufficiency and he don't intend eating anything moie before Faster.
