The case of State vs James Parnell, charged with the shooting and- killing of Wesley Coltcrell at Kirbyville last Fall will come up for trial at this term. It will be remembered that thin case M as tried at the July adjourned term, and a verdict of guilty and punish ment of 10 years in the State pen itentiary assessed by the jury, tut on account ol au error in the record, Judtfe Xe villa granted a new trial. Dr. J. B. Watson aud family, of Willard Kentucky, have located iu Forsyth where they expect to make their future homo. Dr. Watson w a graduate from the Barnes Medical College of St. Louis, and bis estima ble aud accomplished young wife is a graduate iu music aud a very pleasant cutertainer. We arc proud to claim Doctor and Mrs. Watsou as citizens of our little towu, and while their residence here has been brief, yet they have won tbe con fidence and esteem of everybody. His remains were consign ed to a final resting place in tbe National Cemetery under the stars aud stripes, which Uncle "Dick" so gallantly defended in two war. He had many warm friends in Taaoy who will regret to hear of his demis.-. The case of the State vs Asa St Clair will come up again-Cg" trim Til the Circuit court next week. This case is a very peculiar one. The pros ecution charges that during the spring oi ib'J7, Ida James, a young grill, while out ou the margin of a steep bluff nvar Walnut Shade, pick ing flowers, was assaulted by Asa St. Clair, afterward thrown over the bluff lighting at tbe bottom several feet below, 6ustainiug bodily injuries which was thought at the time would prove fatal, but of which the youug girl fiually recovered. The evidence agaiust youug St. Clair, aside from .that of Ida James, is practically all circumstantial. The case was tried at the July adjourned term of the Circuit court and St. Clair was found guilty and given eight years iu the S:ate penitentiary by the jury, but ou account of the recent discovery of new testimony the jr'oung man was granted a new trial. Clyde Davis is a bright intelligent fad of fourteen, w ho for some seven years has been aillicted with necrosis of the jiw bone. Clyde's parents have never been able to give bim the medical services necessary to proper ly treat the disease. Now, however, Mr. Kerns steps forward and through his friendship tor ibe late James L.
