Miss Carrie Bloomberg returned from a month's vacation where she spent one week as the guest of Misses Gussie Goldberg of Shreveport, La., another week at Alexandria, La., and a touring trip to New Orleans, La., visiting the quaint and old historic French Quarters. On her return she stopped at Shreveport and returned with Miss Gussie Goldberg of that city as her guest. Mrs. Mose Bloomrosen of Corsicana, Texas, is spending the week with her mother, Mrs. H. Bloomberg on South Lake street. Mr. and Mrs. James Brown are lo cated in their new home, 3138 Col lege Avenue, where they will be glad to see their friends. Nathan Hoffman is enjoying his vacation in St. Louis and Chicago, 111. Mrs. E. A. Krist is spending the week end at Waco, Texas as the guest of her aunt, Mrs. Abe Berlowitz. Miss Yetta Levy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Levy, Dallas, and Mr. Max Berman of Sweetwater, Texas, were married Sunday evening July 25 at the home of. the bride's parents, on South Ervay street. This was a very pretty home wedding with only the relatives present. Rabbi Abramowitz of Fort Worth officiated. Mr. and Mrs. Berman went to Gal veston, Houston, and other points on their bridal trip and will make their home at Sweetwater, Texas, where Mr. Berman is engaged in business. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Salsberg of South Hemphill street have returned from a very delightful eight weeks' trip through the north and east. The places visited were New York, Atlan tic City, Long Branch, Niagara Falls, Canada, Washington, Chicago and oth er points. Mrs. Louis Bassist and children of Elgin, Texas, have returned to their home after a pleasant visit with rel atives in Fort Worth. The friends of Mrs. Harry S. Miller will be glad to know that she is re covering from an operation for appen dicitis and an attack of typhoid-pneumonia. Mr. and Mrs. Barney Landsman left for Chicago to be gone several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bockstein and children returned from a pleasant trip to Mineral Wells. Mrs. J. Goldberg, mother of Mrs. Harry Bockstein returned to her home in Shreveport, La. after a most pleas ant visit with her son and daughter and grandchildren. Miss Gussie Goldberg of Shreveport is visiting her sister and brother, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bockstein. Mr. and Mrs. U. M. Cerf have mov ed into their new home at 408 West 10th street. Games and danc ing were enjoyed by all while refresh ments were served throughout the evening. The guests were: Franc's Vexler of San Antonio; Gussie Goll berg of Shreveport; Ruth Goldsmith of Corsicana; Carrie Bloomberg, Gladys Veit, Mary Wcinstein, Grace Persky, Mamie Lipshy, Annie Coplin, Sybel Cohen, Francis and Sadie Towb, Ida Goldberg, Ruth Wolffson, Es'.elh Rosenthal, Blanche Herman, Morris Persky, Joel Hoffman, Issie Hoffman, Robert Goodman, Harry Laves, Mitch ell Laves, Ruby Brodkey, Jack Bern stein, Morris Art, Dave Saiken, Syd ney Weltman, Sol Weinstein, Morris Antweil, Julius Gilbert, Dr. A. Ant weil, and te hostesses, Misses Ida and Bessie Antweil. Mrs.' S. A. Fink entertained Wed nesday evening honoring her sister, Cipora Mirian Fink of Brenham. Games and dancing were the diversion of the evening. An ice course was ser ved to the following: Misses Annabel Lesser, Evelyn Goldstein, Blanche Sternberg, Gladys Veit, Mary Wein stein, Jennie Coplin, Julia Sandler, Ma Selikof, and honoree. Mesrrs. Ben Rosenthal, Abe Goldstein, Clarence Goldberg, Milton Fox, Jack Breacher, N. Finestein, Ju'ius Solomon, Nathan Persky and Sam Fink. Mrs. II. Lowenthal and Mrs. E. Keiffer moved to Fort Worth from New Orleans and will be located at 1646 South Adams street Mr. Harry Block of San Antonio and Albert Haas of Weatherford were vis itors in the city last week, guests of Mrs. Herman Samson. The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Abe Gilbert will be pleased to learn of the arrival of a baby girl, born on July 25th at Waco, Texas. Ellie Gilbert is visiting in Halletts ville and Houston, Texas. The social meeting of the Kadimnh Circle was held at the home of Ruth Wolfson Sunday, August 1st. After a short business meeting the girls start ed their merry making and delicious refreshments were served. Miss Beatrice Weinstein entertain ed Sunday afternoon at the home of her sister, Mrs. Louis Fine, with a miscellaneous shower honoring Miss Gertrude Gordon, a fall bride. The home was beautifully decorated in cut flowers and ferns. The color scheme of pink and green were carried out in the decorations of the home. Bunco and dancing was the chief diversion of the afternoon. Miss Gladys Veit won high score prize and the consola tion was claimed by Miss Mary Wcin stein.
