Whereas, God, in his infinite wis dom, has bcm fit to remove from our midst cur bi'loved sister and co-w -cr, Mr. K. Marmar; of Hadassah that a memento of her life and work as a member of this so ciety be iyttna upon the minutes :f our Chapter, one copy be forward d t the teieaved husband and children and a copy each the Texas Jewisn Hernld and Jewish Monitor. The deceased was born in St Louib a little over 39 years ago and after her marriage moved to Tyler where she lived and spread rays of sunshine to all who came in her path. She was a charter member of Tylei Chaper of Hadassah .organized April 16, 1920, and was an active worker until the moment the death angel hov ered over her bed. Assisted by Mrs. Martin Jacobs, she personally direct ed the making of the last box of gar ments forwarded to the Palestine Sup plies Bureau. Not only will we misw her presence, but the orphans of Pal estine miss her many acts of benefi cence in their behalf in whom she took an active interest. She passed quietly and peacefully from the light, the music, the beau ties and perfumeries of this world and emerged into the world of eternal be yond the sun never to return until the beaming light of the Messiah. Thus, the silent joy both bitter and sweet pervading in the human heart is awakened anew in our souls when we recall the face of one we once lov ed and cherished; now numbered among the silent dead; 'tis Iweet be cause associated with happier days gone by, and with loving face and a congenial soul, sad because we know she will come to us no more in this low ground of sadness and disappoint ments. "Then, so live that when thy summons comes to join The innumerable caravans which moves To those mysterious healma, Where' each must take his chamber in the silent hal of death, Thou go not like the quarry slave ai night, scourged to his dungeon, But sustained and soothed by an uu faltering trust Approach thy grave like one who wraps the draperies of his couch about him And lies down to pleasant dreams."
