Irrigation is Ancient.
The practice of irrigation is very
ancient, water having been stored
and distributed in this way in Egypt
as early as 2000 B. C. Persia, In
dia, Ceylon, China, as well as Peru
and Mexico, also had irrigation
works ages ago. Even in Arizona
remains of ancient irrigation works
can be found, which suggest that
that section of the desert may li.ive
been compelled bvtmcn to "blossom
as the rose" many hundreds of
years ago.
