Philadelphia, April 12.—Hundreds of educators from all sections of the state arrived here today to take part in a w'eek's discussion on pedagogi cal questions at the University of Pennsylvania. The sessions which be gin tomorrow are slated to continue through to April 17. The meeting, will be called "school man's week" and will be held for the purpose of promoting harmony be tween officials at the University of Pennsylvania'.and educators through out the state. Word reached the city today of the death at Hill City, Minn., of Mrs. Charles Kaiser, who formerly resided In East Grand Forks. Death occurred Friday, and was caused by a compli cation of diseases. The body was shipped to Riton. Wis., the old, home, where the-funeral was held. Mr. and -Mrs. Kaiser left East Grand Forks about four yearn ago, going to Hill City, where Mr. Kaiser engaged in the hardware business. Hill City, at that time, was little more than a railroad station. It was built in the lumber .sectiou,. twenty-five miles from Grand Rapids, Minn. Mr. Kais er, with several other East Grand Forks residents, became Interested In the lumber land and moved to that city to engage in business. The family came to East Grand Forks from Crookston. Mr. Kaiser was joint owner with C. P. Billings of the Star Steam laundry, now owned by W. A. Ross. Two years after 'en gaging in that business here Mr. Kais er sold out and entered partnership with R. J. Brown in the grocery busi ness. A short time later, he sold out his interests to Mr. Brown and left for Hill City, where he since has re sided. Mrs. Kniser has been ill for a num ber of months, and death was not un expected. While a resident of this city, Mrs. Kaiser was prominent In church and club work. VAGRANCY (M CONTMD Woman and Man Arrested on Minne sota Point Sunday Morning—An other Draws Thirty Days. Mrs. Cora Caskow and Fred Cas kow, who claims to be her brother-in law, were arraigned In municipal ourt this morning on a charge of vag rancy. Their cases were continued for several days. The couple were arrested on Minnesota Foint early Sunday morning. John McGuire, who was arrested with them, also was arraigned this morning. He was sentenced to thirty days In the county Jail. TO CALL CHARTER ELECTION City Council to Meet Tomorrow or Neit Day to Fix Date—Will be Held About Middle of May. A special meeting of the city coun cil will be held tomorrow or the next day, at which time the date for the city charter electton will.be fixed. The teachers who left the city for their vacations and where they spent them were: Mrs. Kate Munch and Daisy Krantz at their homes at Crookston Mrs. Munch also spent some time at Hallock, Minn., where she aeted as instructor at a teacher*' Institute.
